Prepping for vacation...

I seem to have this ritual for preparing for vacation. Whether we are going away for a couple of days or a couple of weeks, I feel the need to have the house clean before we leave. Our vacation is just around the corner and I have very little ready for our actual trip. However, I did spend the majority of today cleaning the house. Tomorrow, I plan to finish cleaning the house so that I can finally start packing. I suppose the reason I go on this cleaning spree before I go away, is so that when I return home the house is clean and tidy. I think it's important for the house to be clean upon our return. It doesn't seem to matter where we go or how long we were gone for but when we get home and unload the truck, the house looks like a bomb went off in a very short period of time. Plus, it always seems to take a close to a week to get everything unpacked and organized when we return from vacation. It's also just nice to come home to a clean house. So, most people probably spend the last few days before vacation packing and such but I spend those days running around cleaning like a crazy lady! I best go make my cleaning list for the morning.
