March...

So, it seems that I completely missed updating my blog throughout the month of March. I thought about blogging many times but just never seemed to get around to it. March was a pretty busy month for a variety of reasons so I'll use that as my excuse for slacking once again.

The month actually got off to a pretty scary start when Cory's mother had a heart attack. Cory had to fly to Halifax, NS and he was gone for 5 days. Shirley spent 3 weeks in the hospital in Halifax before finally getting to go home. She is doing pretty good but she's on a very slow road to recovery.

I had 3 round trips to Regina within 7 days so that pretty much wiped out a week in March. The first trip was when Cory was going to NS. Cory, Cameron and I drove to Regina on a Thursday afternoon, spent the night, Cory flew out Friday morning and Cameron and I drove back to Sturgis. Saturday afternoon, Cameron and I drove back to Regina as my mom was arriving for a visit late Saturday night. We spent the night and the three of us drove back to Sturgis on Sunday. Then on Wednesday, Mom, Cameron and I went back to Regina to pick Cory up and we drove back to Sturgis the same day. It honestly took me a few days to get caught up from all the extra driving that I was so not used to.

My mom was here in Sturgis for 3 weeks and we had a great visit with her. We didn't really do much exciting but it was nice to have her company just the same. Mom and I got the chance to get out by ourselves a couple of times which was nice and Cory and I got the opportunity to go out a couple of times and Mom babysat Cameron. I had my fourth and final trip to Regina for the month of March on the 26th/27th. Mom left very early on the morning of the 27th so Cameron and I took her to Regina the day before and spent the night. Cameron loved all the overnight trips to Regina because he got to go swimming at the hotel.

Even though we had such a busy March, we still managed to spend time with friends as well. We all went for supper at Ryan and Amie's one night and we had people over for supper a couple of times. So, overall things have been going pretty well here in Sturgis.
